Amendment Drawn to Chapter 1

Page 113,  after line 37, insert:

"Q.1. It is the intent of the General Assembly that fifty percent of any of the proceeds generated by Virginia's sale of allowances in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative auctions, including the auction held on December 6, 2023, that are not otherwise already appropriated, shall be appropriated to the Department of Housing and Community Development for the Housing Innovations in Energy Efficiency program.

2. It is the intent of the General Assembly that two percent of any of the proceeds generated by Virginia's sale of allowances in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative auctions, including the auction held on December 6, 2023, that are not otherwise already appropriated, shall be appropriated to the Department of Housing and Community Development for costs of administering and implementing the Housing Innovations in Energy Efficiency program."

Explanation

(This language-only amendment appropriates a portion of the proceeds generated by the sale of allowances in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative auctions, including the auction held on December 6, 2023.)
