Explanation

(This amendment provides general fund each year to augment the staffing and operational capabilities of the Joint Commission on Technology and Science (JCOTS). This funding, when combined with the base appropriation, will support the salaries and benefits of two full-time staff, to include an Executive Director and a Research/Policy Analyst, full office operational costs, and capacity to contract with outside entities to be best positioned to respond effectively to nuanced requests on matters pertaining to the Commission's purview.)
