Explanation

(This amendment provides $150,000 each year from the general fund to cover costs incurred in support of the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) referring technology use by law enforcement to the Joint Commission on Technology (JCOTS) by way of the newly established surveillance technology registry managed by DCJS. The amount provided in intended to cover the administrative costs for JCOTS conducting studies on the surveillance technology in consultation with a Crime Commission representative.)
