Explanation

(This amendment provides $7.0 million the first year and $18.0 million the second year from the general fund to establish the Kinship as Foster Care Prevention Program to promote and support placements of children with relatives by local boards of social services in order to avoid foster care. This amendment corresponds with House Bill 27 of the 2024 General Assembly.)
