Explanation

(This amendment adds $380,000 from the general fund each year to establish Centers for Independent Living (CILs) in five Counties and four cities located in the Crater Planning District. The Crater Planning District is the largest metropolitan area in Virginia without a Center for Independent Living. Resources for Independent Living, the CIL in the Richmond area has supported a two-person satellite in the Crater area for over 20 years. The State Plan for Independent Living has consistently identified the Crater satellite as critical for conversion to a CIL)
