Out of this appropriation, $6,000,000 the first year and $6,000,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to establish a pilot program to make electroencephalogram-driven, combined transcranial magnetic stimulation available for veterans, current and former first responders, and law enforcement officers, including agents of the Department of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency. This pilot program may have up to eight treatment sites within the state."

Explanation

(This amendment provides $6.0 million each year from the general fund to establish a pilot program of up to eight treatment sites for electroencephalogram-driven, combined transcranial magnetic stimulation for veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers. This form of treatment is highly individualized precision medicine that adapts treatment stimulation frequency and intensity based on the user's current biometrics and subjection symptoms and can be used to treat mental health and substance use disorders, brain injury, trauma, and sleep disruption.)
