Explanation

(This amendment provides $184.3 million the first year and $693.6 million the second year from the general fund to implement the provisions of House Bill 187, assuming a 3 percent raise the first year and 7% raise the second year to meet the goal to compensate instructional and non-instructional staff at or above the national average by the 2028-2029 school year .)
