Explanation

(This amendment provides $20.0 million the first year from the general fund to provide temporary funding for school-based mental health services following the expiration of federal ESSER funds during the first year. This is a recommendation of the Behavioral Health Commission. A companion amendment in Item 117 directs planning efforts for ongoing school-based mental health funding.)
