b. The Department of Education shall transition the Child Care Subsidy Program from the current attendance-based reimbursement method to an enrollment-based reimbursement system."



Explanation

(This amendment directs the Department of Education to transition the Child Care Subsidy Program from an attendance-based to an enrollment-based reimbursement system as required by House Bill 408, and provides $51.7 million each year from the general fund for additional anticipated reimbursement costs.)
