Effective July 1, 2024, the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) shall set the reimbursement rate to 100 percent of the Medicare rural rates or 100 percent of non-rural rates if a rural rate does not exist for specific Durable Medical Equipment (DME) products, including enteral products and supplies and in the following categories in the DMAS fee schedule for Feeding Kits and Tubes and Nutrition Kits/Feeding Tubes. DMAS shall have the authority to implement these changes prior to completion of any regulatory process undertaken in order to effect such change."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $2.4 million from the general fund each year and $3.0 million in federal matching funds each year to increase the reimbursement rate to 100 percent of the Medicare rural rates or 100 percent of non-rural rates if a rural rate does not exist for specific Durable Medical Equipment products, including enteral products and supplies and those listed in the following categories in the DMAS fee schedule as Feeding Kits and Tubes and Nutrition Kits/Feeding Tubes.)
