"O. Out of this appropriation, $751,000 the first year from the general fund is provided to Longwood University to address water drainage issues related to storm water drainage piping.

P. Out of this appropriation, the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is authorized to utilize balances as needed to address necessary roof replacements at Jamestown Settlement and the Emerson Central Support Complex.

Q. Out of this appropriation, the Department of General Services is authorized to use funds as needed to address critical facility needs in the Monroe Building to ensure tenant safety."

Explanation

(This amendment shifts $200.0 million in general fund appropriation from the first year to the second year to enhance budget continuity by spreading funding allocation for maintenance reserve to each year of the biennium. The amendment also removes $4.0 million the first year from the general fund proposed for the renovation of the newly-opened parking deck at 9th and Broad Streets in Richmond, Virginia, to include retail options. Finally, the amendment reapportions the allocation of maintenance reserve to allow direct funding to one-time targeted renovation needs at Jamestown-Yorktown, James Longwood University, and the Department of General Services for ongoing support of the Monroe Building in Richmond, Virginia.)
