Explanation

(This amendment provides additional support for the Virginia Agriculture Food Assistance Fund. Senate Bill 1525 added "wholesome foods" to the program to provide grants to charitable food organizations to reimburse famers or food producers for costs association with harvesting, processing, packaging, or transporting agricultural products. The term "wholesome foods" allows for more products to be eligible for the program.)
