Authority: Discretionary Inclusion
A. Out of the appropriation for this Item is included $1,513,961 the first year and $1,513,961 the second year from the general fund for a joint internship and management training program to assist in improving leadership, management, and succession planning capabilities of all branches of state government. The Department of Human Resource Management shall contract with a Virginia public university for the continuation of the program. Any balances remaining from the appropriation identified in this paragraph shall not revert to the general fund at the end of the fiscal year, but shall be brought forward and made available to support the Virginia Management Fellows program in the subsequent fiscal year.
B. The Department of Planning and Budget is authorized to transfer amounts from the appropriation in this item to applicable state agencies as required to execute the purposes of this item.
