"F. The Bureau of Insurance shall review its plan management to determine gaps in regulation between existing regulation of managed care plans and ERISA plans with regard to pharmacy audit practices, freedom of choice provisions, and pharmacy reimbursement parity between retail pharmacy and mail order services. The bureau shall report its findings to the General Assembly by October 1, 2023."



Explanation

(This amendment appropriates nongeneral fund in the second year in support of language that directs the Bureau of Insurance to review its plan management to determine gaps in regulation between existing regulation of managed care plans and ERISA plans with regard to pharmacy audit practices, freedom of choice provisions, and pharmacy reimbursement parity between retail pharmacy and mail order services. This is a placeholder amendment until a final fiscal impact statement is produced.)
