"B. Effective July 1, 2023, $20,400,000 from the general fund the second year shall be provided for a state-funded supplemental Supplemental Food and Nutrition Program (SNAP) benefit for persons age 60 and older in the amount of $25 per month per person using eligibility criteria set forth for federal SNAP benefits."

Explanation

(This amendment adds $20.4 million from the general fund the second year for a temporary supplemental food benefit for individuals age 60 and older. Federal SNAP benefits that were enhanced during the Public Health Emergency for this population will return to pre-pandemic amounts, resulting in a loss of $95 per month for this population.)
