Explanation

(This amendment provides $5.0 million the second year from the general fund to create the Veterans' Behavioral Health Services Grant Matching Fund, pursuant to the passage of House Bill 1791 of the 2023 General Assembly. This fund will be managed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and provide competitive matching grants to local nonprofits to serve the behavioral health needs of service members, veterans, and their families.)
