Explanation

(This amendment provides $1.0 million the second year from the general fund to implement House Bill 1443. The proposed bill would remove the cap on supplemental basic aid payments provided to Rappahannock County for entering into cost savings agreements with neighboring school divisions. Existing law caps the sum of basic aid and supplemental payments provided to Rappahannock in any year to the total amount of basic aid that Rappahannock received in fiscal year 2007.)
