"P. Out of this appropriation, $300,000 the second year from the general fund is provided for the department to assist with the implementation and administration of legislation that will be introduced in the 2023 General Assembly Session, which requires localities to submit annual reports to the department regarding changes to various local policies and ordinances related to housing, development, land-use, and zoning. The department shall establish a comprehensive “clearinghouse” of local policies, ordinances, and programs being implemented across the state and facilitate information sharing between jurisdictions, economic development stakeholders, and the housing industry."

(This amendment provides $300,000 in fiscal year 2024 from the general fund to effectuate the provisions of legislation to be considered by the 2023 General Assembly. Of this total, $125,000 will support one full-time employee to manage operational responsibilities, including the preparation and distribution of the uniform reporting template to localities, and $175,000 will support the development of a web-based platform to collect reports and make them available on a website with various functions to access/review information.)
