Explanation
(This amendment provides $410,000 from the general fund pursuant to the enactment of House Bill 2467 and Senate Bill 1062 of the 2011 General Assembly. These bills mandate health insurance plans in Virginia, including the state employee health insurance plan, and provide benefits for the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder for children ages two through six. As a result of this requirement, it is estimated that the cost to the state health insurance program will increase slightly more than $1.0 million in total funds ($0.4 million general fund). This equates to a premium for the state employee health insurance plan of slightly less than one-tenth of one percent.)
