Page 343, after line 6, insert:
"H.  Out of the appropriations for this item, $400,000 the second year from the general fund is provided for the creation of a Cold Case Searchable Database.  This database shall be searchable by all local law enforcement agencies and include unsolved homicide, missing person, and unidentified person cases in order to assist law enforcement agencies in developing information leading to the identification and arrest of persons who may have committed the crimes.  All law enforcement agencies  shall enter unsolved homicide, missing person, and unidentified person case data into the Cold Case Searchable Database within one year of the database's development.  Local law enforcement data shall be entered using an interactive interface.  The Department of State Police shall develop and begin operation of this Cold Case Searchable Database by July 1, 2012.

(This amendment provides funding for development of a Cold Case Searchable Database pursuant to adoption of House Bill 1511 by the 2011 Session of the General Assembly.)
