Explanation
(This amendment provides $57.6 million the second year from the general fund to restore the 50% composite index 'hold harmless' payment to the selected school divisions. House Bill 1500 reprogrammed $53.4 million of the $57.6 million to pay for the state's share of a 2% VRS rate increase and the remaining $3.0 million was used to pay for a pilot initiative, 'Pay for Performance', to 'Hard-to-Staff' schools in the second year.)
