"A. Grants to public television stations shall be used to develop, acquire, produce and deliver programs that support core functions of government included but not limited to, preschool and adult education, preparing the public regarding severe weather, natural disasters, responding to manmade threats such as radiological and hazmat and terrorists incidents, public health advisories, and promoting tourism and economic development within the Commonwealth.
B. Grants to public radio, administered by the Secretary of Education, shall provide services to the Governor and all Secretariats of the Commonwealth to support core functions of government including but not limited to, informing and preparing the public regarding natural disasters, preparing for and responding to manmade threats, such as  radiological and hazmat and terrorists incidents, public health advisories.".

Explanation
(This amendment provides $957,872 the second year from the general fund to restore funding a budget reduction proposed in the introduced budget to Public Broadcasting for 'Community Access to Educational, Economic and Cultural Programming through Public Television'. There is also a companion amendment in Item 123 to restore $1,110,668 the second year from budget reductions made to Public Broadcasting for 'Financial Assistance for Educational Telecommunications'.)
