Explanation
(This amendment reduces General Fund revenue by $60.9 million in each year and Nongeneral Fund revenue by $15.1 million in each year to reflect the reversal of the proposed elimination of the dealer discount on the Retail Sales and Use Tax; Motor Fuels Sales Tax in certain transportation districts; Motor fuels tax; State Tax for Enhanced E-911 Service; Tire Recycling Fee; and the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Tax. The $9.2 million reduction per year in local tax collections for the Communications Sales and Use Tax is not reflected in the state budget. Companion appropriation amendments for Medicaid and Public Education SOQ reflect the GF offset that is required for the reduction in retail sales and tobacco taxes.)
