Explanation
(This amendment reduces $1.4 million the first year and $2.0 million the second year from an increased allocation of general funds for Healthy Families Virginia. The introduced budget phased out federal TANF funding for the program and restored general fund support. The program will receive $3.6 million from the federal TANF block grant in the first year and $2.9 million from general funds the second year. Language is added to restore funding in the first year if Congress passes a six-month extension of increased Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) through June 30, 2011.)
