"NN.  Out of this appropriation, $2,400,000 from the general fund each year shall be used to establish evidence-based substance abuse prevention practices in each community services board.  Funds shall be allocated equally to each CSB and used to develop local strategies to identify specific needs related to underage alcohol use, identify specific evidence-based prevention programs and implementation time lines, and provide evaluation outcome data for each program implemented."


Explanation
(This amendment provides $2.4 million GF each year for the implementation of evidence-based prevention programs related to underage drinking through all 40 community services boards located in the Commonwealth and serve approximately 20,000 youth annually. Funding includes $200,000 for the Department to assist in the management of this initiative.)
