"In addition, for Rappahannock County, the SOQ payments have been increased by 25 percent each of the COCA rates paid to school divisions in Planning District 8."

(This amendment adds Rappanhannock County to the list of school divisions that would receive a phased-in Cost of Competing Adjustment (COCA). Currently, in recognition of the common labor market, school divisions in Northern Virginia's Planning District 8 receive a COCA to their Standards of Quality funding of 9.83 percent for instructional positions and 24.61 percent for support positions; and the other Virginia school divisions also included in the federally-designated Washington-Baltimore-Northern Virginia, DC-MD-VA-WV Combined Statistical Area receive 25 percent of the Planning District 8 COCA percentages.)
