Explanation
(This amendment provides $50,000 the first year from the general fund to Black Women United for Action (BWUFA) to support the organization's ongoing activities. BWUFA's goals are to provide an opportunity for 'C' and 'C-' underserved students to expand their minds while living/learning in a college setting; to break the cycle of poverty and dependency through education and to provide positive role models; and to encourage parental and family involvement. In addition, BWUFA sponsors an annual educational/cultural Slave Memorial Project at Historic Mount Vernon which attracts guests internationally.)
