"B.  The Board of Forensic Science shall inform all persons convicted of any offense for which biological evidence has been maintained by personnel employed by the Department of Forensic Science or any predecessor to that agency that such biological evidence exists and that those persons may have that evidence tested pursuant to § 19.2-327.1, Code of Virginia."

Explanation
(This amendment requires the Board of Forensic Science to notify all persons convicted of crimes in the Commonwealth for which former employees of the Department of Forensic Science or its predecessor agencies kept biological evidence in order to permit those persons to have that evidence tested and determine if it might exonerate them of the crime or crimes for which they were convicted.)
