"Out of this appropriation, $906,847 the first year and $906,847 the second year from the general fund shall be provided for a pathology fellowship training program in partnership with the Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine.  The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) shall develop and implement an employment contract which includes term for fellows receiving stipends through this program to work for the OCME for at least two years following the completion of their certification program.  The OCME shall consult with the Office of the Attorney General in the development of this contract."


Explanation
(This amendment establishes a pathology fellowship training program at the Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine which would be developed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. This is a recommendation of the Virginia Tech Review Panel.)
