"N.  Out of this appropriation, $3,500,000 the first year and $3,500,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided on an equal basis to each area agency on aging to continue development of the No Wrong Door initiative in the catchment areas served by each area agency on aging.  Area agencies on aging are hereby designated the lead local agency in their catchment areas for implementing No Wrong Door."

Explanation
(This amendment provides $3.5 million from the general fund each year to increase funding by $140,000 for the No Wrong Door Initiative at each area agency on aging. The No Wrong Door system is designed to improve statewide access to long-term care services for the elderly. The system will provide a computerized uniform assessment instrument to screen the elderly for state long-term care services and a web portal which will allow sharing of this information by multiple state agencies. Language is added confirming that the area agencies on aging are the lead local agency in their catchment areas for implementing the No Wrong Door system.)
