Explanation
(This amendment modifies existing budget language that directed the department to develop and implement a regional model for the integration of acute and long-term care services by requiring the department to convene an advisory group of stakeholders, including representatives of acute and long-term care providers, managed care organizations, and other affected organizations and individuals, to develop and implement a regional pilot model for the integration of acute and long-term care services. The department must evaluate and report the benefits and costs of the regional models prior to implementation.)
