Explanation
(This amendment provides additional support positions for the Department of Military Affairs and the funding requested by the agency for the continuation of the re-enlistment bonuses provided to National Guard members. The amount provided for the payment of re-enlistment bonuses would provide for payments to 1,100 guardsmen, which represents about 80 percent of all guardsmen that would become eligible for re-enlistment. Payments are made to those guardsmen that re-enlist for at least two years.)
