Explanation
(This amendment provides $35,000 in the second year from the unappropriated general fund balance to account for costs associated with House Bill 2012 of the 2007 Session of the General Assembly. The funding provides for the installation and maintenance of fencing within False Cape State Park along the North Carolina and Virginia border to prevent the migration of wild horses from Currituck National Wildlife Refuge into the state park and into Virginia Beach. The funding may also be used for injured horses' medical care and their return to North Carolina.)
