Explanation
(This amendment provides $25,000 the second year from the general fund to the Woodlawn National Trust for Historic Preservation. Woodlawn, built in 1805 on what was part of George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate, was our first president's gift to his family. The funding will be matched by community moneys and will help keep the 120-acre historic site, including the Frank Lloyd Wright Pope-Leighey House, open to the public.)
