Explanation
(This amendment adds $6.5 million the first year and $9.5 million the second year from the general fund and an equal amount of federal matching funds to provide a three percent rate increase for physician services except OB/GYN services, which received a substantial increase in the 2005 session. Language is also added and funding is provided to require the use of an inflation factor to modify physician reimbursement rates beginning July 1, 2007.)
