Explanation
(This amendment provides $500,000 and four positions from the general fund along with $25,000 in nongeneral funds the first year and $518,750 and six positions from the general fund along with $35,000 in nongeneral funds the second year to develop and manage a satellite education and training center in Lebanon. The Russell County Board of Supervisors, the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA), and the Cumberland Plateau Planning District asked the Higher Education Center to establish this site to coordinate IT training activities as the region continues to develop its labor pool in this field.)
