Page 122, after line 41, insert:
"Pursuant to Senate Bill 545 if adopted, the Department of Education shall develop a methodology to calculate the scholarship amount by disability category based on the levels of state funding provided for special education students, not to exceed any maximum provided for in the legislation.  The resulting scholarship amounts paid to private schools on behalf of students shall be an end-of-year deduction to the Basic Aid payment for the school division the student had attended.".


Explanation
(This amendment specifies that the Department of Education must calculate scholarship amounts pursuant to Senate Bill 545 not to exceed the maximum of $10,000 provided for in the legislation. In addition, the amounts of any scholarship amounts will be deducted from the Basic Aid payment for the school division the student had previously attended.)
