Page 141, after line 23, insert:
"a. In addition to funding provided beginning in FY06 for increased school breakfasts provided, an additional payment of $1,450,000 each year from the general fund shall be disbursed by the Department of Education to local school divisions as a state contribution to the provision of healthy school breakfasts to students in elementary and secondary schools.
b. These payments shall be based on a state contribution of $0.05 for every school breakfast served.
c. To receive funding, each school division must provide complete documentation to the Department of Education detailing the number of breakfasts served and certifying that breakfasts served met federal health and nutrition guidelines."


Explanation
(This amendment provides $1.5 million GF each year to support existing school breakfast meals served. The new program adopted last session provides funding based an increased meals served.)
