Explanation
(This amendment provides 10 positions and $1.1 million in nongeneral fund revenue the first year and $438,000 in nongeneral fund revenue the second year for ten new game wardens to patrol Smith Mountain Lake. The source of the nongeneral revenue is the transfer of additional general fund dollars to the Game Protection Fund from watercraft sales and use taxes. A companion amendment to § 3-1.01, paragraph K.1, of this act increases the amount transferred to the Game Protection Fund based upon current forecasts of the amounts to be collected from the watercraft sales and use taxes.)
