Explanation
(This amendment provides $4.5 million each year from the general fund to the Department of Environmental Quality to pay expenses related air quality monitoring and evaluation in areas designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as nonattainment areas. The funding also provides support for the retrofitting of diesel school buses to reduce their emissions.)
