Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to maintain and expand current sexual and domestic violence prevention initiatives throughout the Commonwealth. Funds would be used for 22 sexual assault crisis centers to expand the ability of these centers to develop and implement primary prevention strategies. In addition, funding would be used to support at least one full-time equivalent position in each of the 13 Virginia communities that currently have a domestic violence primary prevention program. The Centers for Disease Control recommend communities devote at least one full-time position to effectively implement prevention programs.)
