Explanation
(This amendment provides $21.8 million the first year and $21.8 million the second year from the general fund to increase funding for the At-Risk Add-on incentive-based initiative. The additional funding will provide school divisions an additional 3-15 percent, up from the current 2-12 percent, of more funding for those students who are educationally 'at-risk' as determined by the proxy of using the total number of students who qualify for the federal free lunch program. School divisions that choose to participate must provide the local share of matching funds based on their composite index.)
