"George Mason University, with the approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized to enter into a comprehensive agreement pursuant to the Public-Private Partnership Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002 to construct the Academic VI / Research II facility on the Fairfax Campus in support of the School of Information Technology and Engineering with general classrooms, faculty offices, instructional labs and research labs.  The Department of General Services and the Department of the Treasury shall review any proposed agreement reached under this provision and make recommendations to the Governor for his consideration in acting on the agreement."

Explanation
(This amendment provides authority to construct the proposed academic/research facility under the Public-Private Partnership Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002. In addition, this amendment shifts this project from Part 2 to Part 5 of the budget. A companion amendment under Item 5-0 provides the authority for this capital project.)
