Page 321, after line 16, insert:
"VVV.  Effective July 1, 2005, the Department shall amend the State Plan for Medical Assistance governing Medicaid reimbursements for hospitals designated by the Virginia Department of Health as trauma centers to fully recognize Medicaid allowable clinical care costs for services rendered to trauma registry patients."

(This amendment increases Medicaid reimbursements to trauma centers to recognize 100 percent of allowable clinical care costs. Current Medicaid reimbursement covers about 75 percent of allowable inpatient costs and 80 percent of allowable outpatient costs.)
