Explanation
(This amendment provides $15.9 million from the general fund and $15.9 million from federal Medicaid dollars in FY 2005 and $23.7 million from the general fund and $23.7 million from federal Medicaid dollars in FY 2006 to expand the number of slots available under the community-based Mental Retardation (MR) Waiver program by 947 by the end of the biennium. This amendment assumes 631 new MR waiver slots will be added in FY 2005. A separate budget amendment to Item 332 ensures that an additional 53 waiver slots also will be provided. Together, these amendment provide 1,000 new MR waiver slots by the end of FY 2006.)
