Page 91, after line 12, insert:
"J.  Out of Tourist Promotion shall be provided $1,000,000 the first year and $3,000,000 the second year from the general fund to promote the 400th anniversary of Jamestown and to stimulate tourism activity in Virginia.  In order to leverage private funds, 50 percent of these funds shall be expended as part of a cooperative advertising program in concert with Virginia's Destination Marketing Organization administered by the Virginia Tourism Corporation.  Before the monies can be expended a marketing plan, including strategies for investing in out-of-state publications and promotions as well as guidelines for the cooperative advertising program, shall be developed in cooperation with the Jamestown 2007 Steering Committee of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation."

(This amendment provides $4.0 million of general fund support for marketing and advertising to ensure the economic success of the Jamestown 2007 Commemoration.)
