"Out of the amounts for Financial Assistance for Cultural and Artistic Affairs, $30,000 the first year and $30,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to the Julian Stanley Wise Foundation."

(This amendment provides a general fund grant of $30,000 each year to the Julian Stanley Wise Foundation, which is dedicated to the promotion and support of emergency medical services and the individual recognition of those who provide these services. The foundation supports the Rescue Museum, which houses the National Emergency Medical Services Memorial honoring those who lost their lives in the line of providing emergency medical services. Julian Stanley Wise, who was from Roanoke, is credited as the founding father of the rescue movement in America and throughout the world.)
