Language Page 388, after line 37, insert:"Out of the amounts for Financial Assistance for Cultural and Artistic Affairs, $25,000 the first year and $25,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to the Lee Hall Train Depot."
Explanation(This amendment provides a general fund grant of $25,000 each year to support efforts by the City of Newport News to relocate this historic train depot on a safer location removed from nearby railroad tracks. This effort was a condition of the CSX Corporation's donation of the train depot to the city as a historic site. The Lee Hall Train Depot was originally constructed in 1880, and the first passenger train from Newport News took residents and national officials to the Cornwallis Surrender Centennial Celbration on October 19, 1881.)
