"Out of the amounts for Financial Assistance for Cultural and Artistic Affairs, $150,000 the first year and $150,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to the Montpelier Foundation."

Explanation
(This amendment provides a general fund grant of $150,000 in each year of the biennium to the Montpelier Foundation to support the renovation of Montpelier, the home of James Madison. Madison was the nation's fourth president and "Father of the Constitution." The restoration work performed by the Montpelier Foundation will establish Montpelier as one of Virginia's great presidential homes and a significant piece of the heritage tourism industry.)
