Disclosure of Office Allowance Expenses by Attorney General (language only)

Page 30, after line 7, insert:
"2.b.  For expenses not otherwise reimbursed as provided in Item 49.A.2.a, the Attorney General shall keep a detailed and separate account of these funds and file an annual disclosure statement accounting for these funds as provided herein.  The Attorney General shall file his disclosure statements with the Secretary of the Commonwealth.  The disclosure statement shall be filed no later than the date the Attorney General must file his statement of economic interests with the Secretary of the Commonwealth pursuant to § 2.2-3114, Code of Virginia, and shall account for all expenditures and unexpended balances from the preceding calendar year.  The disclosure statement shall be maintained as a public record for five years in the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office.  The disclosure statement shall be filed on the same form approved by the respective Rules Committee for each house for use by each of its respective members and shall set forth the date and amount of any expenditure, the name and address of the person to whom the expenditure was made, the object or purpose of the expenditure, and any unexpended balance in the account at the close of the year."


Explanation
(This amendment requires the Attorney General to disclose how his office expense allowance has been used annually on the same form that members of the General Assembly would use for this purpose.)
